Drip Irrigation for Corn Silage in Macedonia

This farm in Macedonia grows corn for silage. ND Project designed and installed a drip irrigation and fertigation system, so each plant gets the water and fertilizer it needs, at the right time. In the photo, the corn on the left is flood irrigated and the corn on the right is drip irrigated. Drip also reduces water loss from evaporation and runoff, and keeps the water and fertilizer even across the whole field.
